NELM is a national museum that concentrates on the collection of all primary and secondary material published by, and on, southern African authors (from South Africa , Namibia , Botswana , Lesotho , Swaziland , Zimbabwe and Mozambique ) who write in English, as well as overseas authors who have written about the region. This includes drama, poetry, short stories, novels, diaries, journals, travelogues, autobiographies and letters. We also collect all the critical material we can find on these authors, including journal articles, essays, reviews, theses and dissertations and critical anthologies, as well as manuscripts, newspaper clippings, cassette tapes, CDs and videos.
